We allow dogs in three of our Seven bedrooms, that are on the ground floor with their own access to outside making dog walking easy early in the morning and late at night. Due to the proximity of the road we request that dogs stay on the lead at all times for their safety.
There is a one off charge of £20.00 per dog for the duration of your stay.
We have dog friendly and dog free areas in the hotel so all guests are comfortable. Dogs are welcome to stay with you during dinner and breakfast in one of the two dining rooms, for the comfort of other guests we do request that they stay on the lead and are not allowed near the buffet, a blanket is available for them to sit on if it helps them to relax.

Dinner time can be a challange for your owner, however we make it easy! We would love you to join your owner in the garden, patio or in the doggie friendly part of our restaurant on your lead but not pass through or stay in the lounge. Find out more...
Only a few moments away you’ll find The “Byes” a national trust walk that goes all the way to Sidmouth , no cars and plenty of fields –but still good for a quick walk to let you relieve yourself first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and streetlights will help your companion find you again in the dark! Turn left out of our car park, walk 20 doggie strides and turn left between the 2 pillars (boys, excellent for a quick stop!), follow the lane past the houses and join the path at the gate by the play park. There are lots of Doggie bins so no need to get caught short.
Alternatively you can run around in the field next door, turn right out of the car park go over the bridge and over or under the stile next to the bus stop. No lights here at night unless you take a torch. There is a river running through the field so you may feel curtailed when your owner yells at you not to go in!.... and it is very tempting too…. Grumpy cattle are often in this field during the summer and are definitely best avoided.
During your stay, why don’t you take your companion for a longer walk on one of our Ramble Routes. They’ll be able to collect information from the computer table drawer in the residents lounge. The nearby coastal path offers brilliant views for your companion to enjoy whilst you run around. Neither of the Beaches at Sidmouth allow dogs from May to October.
We want your stay to be home from home and can provide a variety of facilities for you, an outside shower for muddy doggie paws, a torch for late night walking, and fleece bedding. You are welcome to store your dogs dinners in our refrigeration but we can also supply a gourmet doggie dinner or Arden Grange Kibble. We also have leads to borrow, a cage to hire, professional dog walkers that live in the area and Doggie Day Care Centre at Greendale just 6 miles away.
