We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our 5 bedroom Restaurant with Rooms. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will be delighted to help.
There is a bus stop 50 metres from our Front Door- with a frequent service operating between Poole and Exeter X52 Jurassic coast service.
The nearest train station Honiton which is approximately 15 minutes by car (also served by a stagecoach bus route 52b).
There is an Exeter taxi service that has specially adapted accessible taxis. If required, we will be happy to make a booking on your behalf. Other local taxis are happy to help.

On arrival to the property, the car park is situated to the right of the building.
The surface is level, flat and gravel and there is a brick footpath with a slope leading from the car park to the rear entrance of the hotel- straight to the Restaurant.
The main entrance is accessible via the pavement and is signed from the car park.
There are marked parking bays and there is plenty of room.
We are more than happy to assist our guests with their luggage.
The village of Sidford is only a few minutes level walk from the hotel.
There are two concrete steps down towards the front door from the pavement. The first step down is 10cm high. The depth of the step is 44cm. Then there's a second step of 10cm height. The front door has one step over the threshold 5cm high and the depth of the threshold is 31cm. We have a temporary ramp available if required (please request in advance and we can provide it on arrival).
The front door is always open - just lift the latch!
The door is 80cm wide. The front desk is to the right of the door.
The entrance hall narrows to a corridor of width 98cm (narrowing to a doorway of width 71cm to the bar). There is a door to the right leading to the lounge. This doorway also leads towards two of the bedrooms, Rose & Bluebell.
The hallway leads to the right straight into the lounge and straight ahead to the Restaurant (one step 15cm high into the Restaurant). There are double doors to the restaurant, which are always open. Doorway is 110cm wide.
The ground floor is carpeted (short-pile) throughout.
There are 2 public W.C.'s available on the ground floor. The larger of the two has an over-the-toilet seat/frame if required and there is also a wall-mounted grab rail. The toilet seat height is 43cm for both toilets. The corridor leading to the toilets is 80cm wide and narrows to a doorway of width 66cm. The doors to the two toilets are 64cm wide.
Breakfast is served in the Restaurant on the ground floor.
Furniture is flexible and can be moved on request.
All chairs are without arms and the height of the seats is 47cm.

We play background music in the Restaurant & Lounge during dinner.
In the lounge there are seats of various heights.

Not available on the premises but a few minutes walk into Sidford village where there is a Post Office, Spar convenience store (open till 11pm) and Lloyds pharmacy.
We have a masseuse and reflexologist who can be booked by prior arrangement to come to your room for reflexology or massage treatments (please call or email for more information).
Our garden is for the enjoyment of our guests, however we do request that your dogs are not exercised on our grounds.
All bedrooms have Television and DVD player with Teletext and Furniture is usually movable on request.
There are three bedrooms on the Ground Floor, two of which are accessed via one step (14cm high) and a door (width 71cm).
BLUEBELL & ROSE: are both accessed through the lounge and up a single step (14cm high) and through a door (width 71cm).
First Floor Bedrooms: There are two further bedrooms upstairs.
The stairs are 19cm high, 23cm deep and 79cm (min.) wide. The first 5 stairs rise to a square 86cm x 84cm with a further 2 stairs rising to a second square 86cm x 79cm and finally a further 5 stairs leading to the first floor corridor.
We have a rear garden for you to enjoy, mainly lawn with flowerbed borders and a patio area. There are plenty of tables & chairs and benches around the garden. There are also two ornamental fish ponds.
Only 200 metres away is the entrance to "The Byes"; a lovely National Trust walk (brilliant exercise for dogs and humans alike!) which leads to the town of Sidmouth, taking you along the river in places. It is a approximately 2 miles and a level walk- concrete or gravel all the way… no muddy footpaths!
Dogs are welcomed in two of our rooms: Rose & Heather.
Due to the age and structure of the building, mobile phone reception can be poor in some areas of the hotel.
